Who We Are

Christ the King Missionaries is a Catholic missionary community rooted in the love of Christ and committed to building Spirit filled families who live the Gospel with faith, joy, and service. Welcoming people of every nation, we seek to support the renewal of the Australian Catholic Church and to serve the wider community through prayer, faith formation, evangelisation, and compassionate outreach.

While Christ the King Missionaries is a young and emerging ministry, our foundations are built on more than a decade of service within Australia. For many years, our members have been actively involved in parish life, faith formation, and missionary initiatives, particularly in collaboration with the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and other Church led movements. Through this journey, a shared call emerged to come together, unify our service, and respond more intentionally to the needs of the Church under a single mission and name.

Guided by the Holy Spirit, we foster meaningful encounters with Jesus Christ that renew hearts and lead individuals and families into deeper Christ centred living. Our ministry focuses on prayer and intercession, formation and discipleship, evangelisation and outreach, and the nurturing of the next generation, helping them grow as joyful witnesses of the Gospel.

In union with the Church, we believe that renewed hearts within families lead to renewed communities. As families are strengthened in faith and love, they become instruments of transformation serving the good of our nation and extending Christ’s reign of love, hope, and mercy to the world.

Spiritual Power House

The Spiritual Powerhouse is the prayer and worship foundation of our ministry, sustaining all our works through continual intercession & praise. Through Intercession for Priests, we uphold clergy in prayer for strength, protection, and faithfulness to their calling. Our Worship Ministry leads the community into reverent praise, creating space for renewal and encounter with the Holy Spirit. We also intercede for Youth, Vocations, and Families, praying for strong Christian families and the next generation to respond courageously to God’s call.

Church Mission & Outreach

The Church Mission program focuses on renewing and strengthening the life of the Church through outreach, formation, and active participation. Return to Worship initiative invites those who have drifted away to rediscover the grace and community found in the Eucharist and parish life. Call to Laity another initiative encourages and equips lay faithful to serve as active ministers, taking shared responsibility in the mission of the Church. Through our structured Faith Formation programs, individuals are supported in deepening their relationship with God and growing in mature, lived faith.

Hands of Mercy and Love is our outreach ministry that serves the poor, vulnerable, and those on the margins with compassion and dignity. Through practical assistance and Christ-centred love, we become the living expression of God’s mercy in action.

Our Family Ministry nurtures faith across all stages of life, supporting children, youth, and singles in their journey with Christ. It provides age appropriate formation, fellowship, and mentoring rooted in Catholic values. Through faith filled programs and community life, individuals are encouraged to grow spiritually and live out their calling. Together, families and individuals are strengthened to build Christ-centred homes and communities. It also creates safe and welcoming spaces where relationships are formed, gifts are discovered, and faith is lived out daily. By fostering unity across generations, the ministry helps cultivate resilient disciples grounded in love, service, and mission.

Family Ministry

Christ the King Missionaries is spiritually rooted in and closely linked with the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) NSW, sharing the same vision of renewal through the power of the Holy Spirit. Guided by the Charismatic spirituality of prayer, praise, Scripture, and openness to the gifts of the Spirit, CTKM actively supports and complements the mission of CCR NSW.

CHARIS (Catholic Charismatic Renewal International Service) is the official body established by the Vatican to serve, unite, and coordinate the Charismatic Renewal worldwide, and CHARIS Australia represents this mission at the national level.
